After
winning a modeling competition in New York, I was picked up by a
major agency. Not being satisfied with the amount of work I was
getting, I took off to Germany, with a photographers recommendation.
I settled in Munich with International Talents agency who re-shot
my portfolio and for six months, I did major bookings in runway,
print and TV.
I then moved to Milan, Italy for three months where I booked lots
of print work for major magazines, and shows for such designers
as:
Versace
Armani
Ferre
Fendi
Gucci(to name just a few!)
I
tend to be an adventuress and my curiosity and passion for travel
led me to Paris where I lived for two and a half years working exclusively
for many of the industry's most celebrated couture designers including:
Yves St. Laurent
Dior
Givenchy
Valentino
Claude Montana
From Paris the
bookings were endless! I found myself working in such countries
as: Japan, Africa, Spain, Portugal and all over Europe. What
an exciting way to see the world!!
Considered
an International runway star by now, I was featured in many major
magazines including: Harpers Bazaar,Vogue, Elle...and
appeared on many New York talk shows. I have also been seen on CNN's Style with Elsa Klensch, VH1's Fashion TV, MTV and many more.
My career as
a model caused my hidden talent to blossom, opening doors to several
opportunities in other areas of show business such a television
and film acting, music videos, and even singing! I've recorded music
with top artists and even danced at New York's Radio City Music
Hall with the B-52's band.
My likeness
was used to create Hasbro's Imani fashion doll and I acted
as the premiere spokesperson for her unveiling to the public nationally.
I continue to
be a working model in New York City, and am an avid modeling instructor
and coach. I have produced a top selling video entitled How To Become A Successful Runway Model and am frequently
booked to speak at model conventions and schools nationwide.
